Due to the rainy weather on Oct. 26, the band was not able to compete in the USBands Southern States Championships in Chattanooga, where it had won the state championship in its division for the past three years.
Brentwood High School is one of the few high schools in the state of Tennessee that owns and operates its own TV station. The City of Brentwood first gave Channel 9 to Brentwood High School from its cable company, Comcast in 1999. For the first two years, the channel simply displayed school text announcements around the clock. The Seminole High School Warhawk Marching Band has won the FMBC Florida State Class 4A Championships in 2018, 2012, 2011, 2006, and more. They were the grand champions at the 2017 USBands Southern States Regional Championship in Chattanooga, TN. They were the grand champions of the Virginia Beach National Marching Band Festival (1978).
